Accessibility statement

Motor Row wants everyone to be able to shop for a car here, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What the site does

• Every page works without a mouse. A “Skip to main content” link appears first when you press Tab, every control is reachable with the keyboard, and the element with focus is clearly outlined.
• Dialogs (car details, the seller sign-in and posting forms) trap focus while open, close with the Escape key, and return focus to where you were.
• Headings, lists, tables and landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) are marked up so screen readers can jump between them. Form fields have visible labels.
• Every car photo has a text description. Icons are decorative and hidden from screen readers; the text next to them carries the meaning.
• Updates such as filtered results and error messages are announced to screen readers.
• Text and controls meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio; the page scales to 200% and reflows on phones without horizontal scrolling. Animation is turned off for people who have asked their device to reduce motion.
• Every page is also available as plain HTML without JavaScript, as Markdown (add .md to the address), and as plain text at /llms.txt, which some people find easier to read with their own tools.

Known limits

• Photo descriptions are the car’s year, make and model; they don’t describe what is in each picture. The seller’s written description is the best source for condition details.
• Google’s sign-in button, used only by sellers, is provided by Google and we can’t change how it behaves.
